The Center for Desert Studies, represented by the Desertification Control Department, held a three-day training course in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center entitled "Sand Dune Stabilization Using Bio-Methods." The course covered an introduction and familiarization of researchers with sand dunes, sand movement, their types and shapes, and the possibility of monitoring and measuring their movement. It also covered their impact on agricultural land and soil fertility, and the use of bio-methods in sand dune stabilization and desertification control.
