With reference to University Order No. 9698 dated October 10, 2024, and based on the directives of the Ministry's Research and Development Department (Letter No. BT 6/9274 dated September 22, 2024), a research team from the University of Anbar was formed to study the development and breeding of salt- and drought-resistant cotton varieties.
The research team held its first meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, to develop a comprehensive research plan addressing the project's objectives and exploring the possibility of developing or breeding cotton varieties capable of withstanding salt and drought conditions.
